The shift from comfort

It's nearly 7:00 am in the morning, and I'm sitting in front of my computer listening to some random track of music that pandora.com is spewing out. I haven't slept yet. I'm not sleepy. Well I wasn't until a second ago.

Opportunities

There are voices in my head and they are anything but soft. They scream, they shout, and they are asking questions. The walls of this skull are creaking, and cracks may soon appear. “Does God exist?” I ask myself “Surely he is not a malicious being.” For I have sinned, and I'd like to ask whether this is the price I have to pay.

The importance of a questioning mind.

I have been taught to question what I do not understand. This knowledge has allowed me to grow, for using this one idea and by keeping an open mind I have managed to imbibe knowledge and to extend the horizons of my mind.

I believe that this school allows for questioning. I believe that it levels the playing field and provided the opportunity for anyone who is willing to listen to seek out answers. I believe that here, in this most sacrosanct of places, people could question, irrespective of their position. Have I been wrongly led?
