Well, it's been a while since I've found the time to write on this site, and I really am not too keen on letting this site die a quite death, so I've decided that I'm going to write at least once a week here from now on.
College has been going rough on me, it has finally caught up with the classes I took back home in India, and now I have to work myself very hard in order to keep up, let alone do well. RPI certainly isn't a piece of cake, and I think I underestimated the place when I decided to come here. It seems to be a good school, and the professors here are really nice.
Currently I'm taking 20 credits, which is as many as I can take without paying extra tuition. As I see it now, I don't think I would have taken more credits even if I had the money to pay for it. My courses between them take up a good deal of time, and I'd rather not be burdened with more work.
I've started taking classes in Hip Hop dancing which is amazing. I'm not too bad, but it shall be a long time before I can say I'm good. After seeing some of the people here dance, I'm rather ashamed at how uncoordinated I am. There is a kid named Ben who lives on my floor, and he's a break dancer. I was at the first dance class with him, and was amazed at the kind of things he can do. He's no longer taking any of the classes, as he's in the water polo and ultimate Frisbee team, which leaves him with no time for this.
I finally decided to join a fraternity called Chi Phi, which is an awesome fraternity with a bunch of awesome people. I only know people from the Theta chapter, which is the one at RPI, and I'm absolutely impressed by the people there. There's a lot of work that I have to do in order to join the fraternity, and the tests that I take there are so much harder than the ones at RPI. But all in all I love greek life, and the people at Chi Phi are amazing, and the workload for joining the place is something I will gladly take on in order to become a member, it's not that overwhelming.
Oh I've been working on some ideas for a redesign of this site. I really want to use this site as a platform to improve my web development skills, and also once this thing looks more aesthetic. I'm currently only wire-framing the site, and it's still rather basic, but this is what I have in mind for the new site. Furthermore I'd be redeveloping the logo, I've grown tired of the one I have, and it seems really tacky when I look at it now. Below I've put up the wire-frame for the front page.
